Tesla shares details on its vacation software update
The company said it is introducing creative features, ranging from a new Light Show feature to new gaming and entertainment experiences, security features.
âThis week, Tesla owners around the world will be able to do more with their cars and have even more fun, all with a free over-the-air software update,â the company said in a blog post.
With the new Tesla Light Show, PC users can now create their own unique Tesla Light Show, no Tesla vehicle required.
Using xLights, a free open source software, users can create a light show to play with music of their choice. They can then download their show, or shows from other creators, to a USB stick and download it to your car.
âLight Show also comes with a preloaded song for your enjoyment and works with all new S models, new X models and any Model 3 or Model Y,â the company said.
The company has said that every Model 3 and Model Y, as well as older S and X Models with an Intel Atom processor, will receive a new digital look that will take design cues from our next-gen S and X models.
Several notable features include a customizable app launcher, streamlined command menu, and support for a dark mode appearance.
The company’s new navigation allows users to hide map details for a clean, streamlined appearance, and users can now – quickly add and rearrange – multiple stops on – your route.
The company also added the original Sonic the Hedgehog to Tesla Arcade. Users can now also play Sudoku multiplayer and The Battle of Polytopia.
The company has also introduced Sentry Mode Live Camera Access for the rest of North America and most of Europe.
This feature allows users to view live feed from Autopilot cameras directly on the Tesla app.
