PS5 System Software Update 22.02-06 Patch Notes Today (September 7)

The new firmware update is available now and includes 1440p support, new core gaming features, and more.

The latest system software update for the PlayStation 5 rolled out earlier today, bringing the firmware to version 22.02-06 with a long list of new features and improvements.

After being released for beta users earlier this year, the PlayStation 5 is now capable of outputting at 1440p via HDMI. Users will need to ensure that their monitor is capable of outputting at the desired resolution, but a test function is available directly from the console.

The new update also allows users to create folders within their game collections, to make it easier to locate some of your favorite or most-played titles.
