Leicester City Council is seeking to appoint a single supplier for the supply of a shop window and object security system. The successful supplier will supply, install and maintain the system.
Leicester Museums & Gallery Service operates five museum sites. Museum security systems include an object and display security system, at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and Newarke Houses Museum. The Authority wishes to explore the market to identify a new alternative security system to ensure better resilience and future compatibility, in order to improve the overall business continuity in the security management of museum objects on display. A replacement system is required and it may be possible to expand the system to include additional sites. The new replacement system will need to be user-friendly and meet essential museum industry standards for managing the security of museum objects on display.
