Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 receives January 2022 EMUI software update

The global version of Huawei P50 Pro receives the first software update with EMUI 12 version This software update marks the first software enhancements for this new flagship that has been long awaited by consumers in overseas markets.

According to the changelog, the Huawei P50 Pro EMUI global software update comes with system stability improvements in certain situations to make your device run smoothly in certain situations. Compared to a small changelog, this update is a giant 1GB in size, which apparently contains some fixes for the device.

That’s not all, this software update is followed by a new software patch that comes with 10MB size, no software release and similar system improvements to smooth the software performance of Huawei P50 Pro.

For your information, Huawei P50 Pro global units run EMUI 12 software, which is the latest installment in the EMUI series. On the other hand, the Chinese variants have the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system, which is designed and developed by Huawei and maintained as open source software by the OpenAtom foundation.

The functionalities of these two software are different but the user interface is almost identical in EMUI 12 and HarmonyOS 2.0. Thus, you are unlikely to feel a change in the user experience if you switch back and forth.

If you want to download this latest software update, visit Settings > System & updates > software updates > tap CHECK FOR UPDATES, form here let phone check for available software versions.

Then the screen will show the DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL option which you can tap and start the download procedure.

Huawei P50 Pro:

On January 26, 2022, Huawei released the P50 Pro to the global market. The phone sports a 6.6-inch screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate and 450Hz PPI. These specs make for refreshing and immersive viewing angles.

Meanwhile, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset with octa-core architecture and Adreno 660 GPU for better graphics performance. Moreover, the global units of this phone come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The camera section has a four-lens setup that includes:

  • 50 MP True-Chroma camera (colour, f/1.8 aperture, OIS)
  • 40 MP True-Chroma camera (MONO, f/1.6 aperture)
  • 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2 aperture)
