Are you having problems updating EMUI software?
The versatile Huawei Mate 20 Pro is ready and receiving the expected May 2022 security update. The latest software update is rolling out for users residing in the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. However, the update will continue with future developments.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro users get May 2022 security update with release 22.214.171.124(C185E1R1P1). At the same time, it embeds a software package of a size of 227 megabytes.
As during the exploration, we did not find any new changes for the system apart from the security patch. However, you can get more information about the changelog here:

- This update improves system security with security fixes.
- Incorporates security patches released in May 2022 to improve system security.
The May 2022 security patch is applied on the latest EMUI 12 interface. Affected by the patch, it covers and fixes several new bugs and vulnerabilities found in the latest software version and provides better system security.

How to check the update?
Although the update is being rolled out in batches, it may take some time to arrive on your device. However, you can also check for updates manually via Settings > System updates > Software updates > Check for updates > Download and install.
